My Own Wallpaper
A good place was my box.
Just a big,
Cardboard box, a
Television‘s old home,
My new wonderland.
Creating my own pink
Dungeon, I colored
My own wallpaper.
No one ever asked me
To come in, so there
Was never a rule about it.
No toys, just a home.
A place to sleep, to color,
To read about mermaids.
I drew myself a tail,
I wanted to be like her.
But it didn‘t fit.
So I put her on my house.
I was a grown up,
On my own.
Its funny how
When you‘re grown,
It‘s okay to be alone.
