Reading
Reading is a gift,
a break from the
harsh world,
A way to drift,
to dream,
a way to lose yourself
in another world,
A book is a place of
magic,
Where wizards and witches
roam free,
and the unimaginable
becomes explainable,
Authors create, shape,
and guide their worlds,
They tell of romance
and terror,
of a fairytale ending with a gruesome beginning,
When reading you are focused on
the world of another,
Your troubles and guilt's
disappear
if only for a moment,
You become another,
someone brave and smart,
someone who is knowledgeable
about all things,
Of course eventually
the book must end,
then the story is over,
the world closes up,
your senses return,
and you are normal again,
or, until you open the cover
again
