The Dancing Impaired
I still remember
The place on my back
Where you gently placed your hand
As you awkwardly held mine
We danced
As the dancing impaired
The smile on your face
Was a hopeful one,
A hope to know more,
And not end after this
Clumsy dance
For the dancing impaired
My phone vibrates in my pocket,
The ID reads your name
Now holding a new question
Or answer to one of mine
And each time I see the glowing screen, I think
How we have become more than
Just the dancing impaired
