Come As You Are
All I heard was *drip* *drop*
And my feet went *flip* *flop*
Making my way to see the band play
Because they said to come even if it rained
And I needed to hear them singing
Because my heart kept pounding
And the blood kept right on flowing
I needed that peace of mind
That comes when music is too loud to hear yourself think
"Come as you are"
So I am how I'm coming
I'll bring the umbrellas if you remember the hot cocoa
And I'll be very sweet even though you make me loco
But friends are hard to come by
And even harder, still, to keep
So even though the rain is falling
I'll be sure to stay up-beat
