How can something I crave
Also be my deepest fear?
I’ve broken into blossom
In the midst of an infertile year.
I want to seal you away in an envelope
And mail you to a better time -
For I have all these thoughts
I’m not sure I can climb.
You were impossibly loud
When all else fell still.
I want you once more -
One cheap, senseless thrill.
