Breathe For You
Do not trifle with the sound of breathing
It’s a dance, my lover, as I inhale
Your stunning eyes forcing
My breath back into my lungs
My tongue tracing
The letters of your name
As I run it over my lips
In nervous anticipation of your touch
I drink in your words like wine
Giggling drunkenly
I sway endlessly between
Each break in your typing
My breathing is scarce now, love
I promised the dawn I’d hold it in
All for you
Until I get to settle in your arms
And caress your neck with my fingertips
That is when I will allow myself to breathe out
All of your smiles and laughter
Spreading up my spine
And coming to rest
In the hollow of my throat
With each glance at your soft lips
I shudder and settle deeper into the night
Where I know you are waiting for me
Hand outstretched, your nails drip
With temptation
As I follow you proud into the dark
I hold my breath in
And my head high
And stream past the multitude of
Gossiping girls for I know
Not one of them could ever imagine
A man as glorious as mine
I yearn to know your hands
And your whispering words
That twirl around my body
Wrapping me in contentment
So I hold my breath for you
Until I get to settle into your hold
And read the depths of your eyes
For than I’ll know
This is where
And where I always
Will be
