They Call Me Dirt
I'm surrounded by pale white faces
they stare me call me an alien
but not the kind on space ships
they say its people like me
who give them a hard time
apparently because they cant get jobs
the fault is mine
they call me stupid mexican
they dont care that im really puerto rican
these pasty like faces
glue their eyes to me
with that deathly stare
i can hardly breathe
they call me names
for no reason
im supposed to be ashamed
that my skin is the color of dirt
my skin maybe that color
but it doesnt mean thats what i am
