So Many Wishes
I wish someone had told me that she had a heart cold as ice
And eyes to match
I wish someone had told me she hated more than loved
Even to those whom she was attached.
I wish someone had warned me that she breaks hearts
Like sticks
I wish someone had told me that she has a plan
With no room to mix
I wish I had known that best friends cannot be trusted
That every Simple Plan song was right
I wish I had known better
Than to put up a fight
I wish that I was smart enough to figure out
That I was just a pawn in her chess game
I wish I could make other friends
But it’s just not the same
I could wish for her to come back
But she’s changed as it seems
My old best friend
Would never make me cry
Would never pretend I don’t exist
Ignore my texts
Savage my book
There’s another demon inside
I just want her back
I wish someone had mentioned that she was incapable of feeling
Feeling anything but hate
So next time you want to say something
That would be great
