welcome to recession
One day you look around and the grass has never been more green
The next day could possibly be the day that you will need a shoulder upon to lean
Money, family, education, and careers are slowly becoming a luxury Some do the right for their families with loans and bribery
And through the crisis you take a moment to look up and pray
As you sit upon your knees, hoping and begging, you find the darkness in the day
This shack is nothing like your two story back home
It’s old and wooden with not one sight of shiny chrome
Suddenly your feeling t he pressure and pain
Your mind and body blocks her out as she is screaming your name
Kids in her frail, skinny hands she stands at the door
How did it come to this, there is nothing more
Her bare feet walk away from the provider
Food on the table, shoes on feet, now is nothing more than a divider.
