Nine-Eleven
A tragic memory,
that fills our hearts with dread,
Crying tears of misery,
As we try to think of something else instead.
He dials his family,
As he cries into his phone,
His death arriving rapidly,
as he says he's not coming home.
Anger swells inside us,
A fury we can't hide,
Hatred comes in large gusts,
A rage that's better left inside.
Thousands of lost lives,
though we know they've gone to heaven,
we wish that they'd survived,
on the day of nine-eleven.
