A Single Page
I always look forward
To those times when
I have pencil in hand.
Times when I can
Say what I feel,
Write what I please.
I always look forward
To those times when
I can finally have
A say in what goes on
In this small world
To which we have grown
So accustomed.
I enjoy the times
When my pencil
Doesn’t complain, and the
Paper doesn’t roll her eyes
At my thoughts or ideas.
The world we have
Created is a movie, let’s
Make it a book, with
Each page an individual’s
Story, a single person’s dream, idea.
Let’s have a single page
Where we writers can
Finally have a place in
This world, finally have
A say of our own.
