Duct Tape
What do you do
When you feel your life
Slowly falling apart?
When you begin to cry rivers
That could fill up the ocean?
Walls will come crashing down;
No longer will there be
Anything to stop pain
From penetrating my heart.
Grief has overcome me.
I can no longer
Just walk through the halls
With a sploosh
Of pride on my face.
No one will just let me
Be me in a world
Where everyone tries to be like everyone.
Let me be me in a world
Where everyone tells me who to be.
Duct tape cannot fix everything;
Duct tape cannot fix me.
