I Told You So
I’m sorry.
For shattering you,
Breaking you,
Running you over with a bulldozer,
Not denying you when I had the chance.
Letting you be stolen,
Tossing you around,
And throwing you all over.
I can’t help it.
It’s too easy to fall for someone and then have you ripped apart when it ends badly.
So I’m saying it now, for the future wears and tears I will accidently give you.
I’m sorry heart for falling too hard and too fast.
Now the only thing I’m hearing is my head saying, “I told you so.”
