Renaissance
This is what my life’s become,
Living day by day,
Fighting in this dead end town
Searching for a home to stay.
I’m waiting for the ending
To this story which has just begun,
Plotting for a moment
Where I could say that I have won.
This air is so intoxicating,
I’m falling through your endless stare.
Thinking of a way to be alive,
A way to run to anywhere but here.
Some day’s the sky seems black
As I fade into my past
I’m in danger of a heart attack,
In danger of the things I lack.
I’ve finally found a place of clarity
Escaping these lies and endless deceit,
I’m looking for sincerity
Looking for a heart that beats.
There is this scene which I’ve dreamt up too,
All is still and silent
In this place where red meets blue.
The passion stings so violent
In this place where love rings true.
I dream of sanity,
I dream of fate;
There is no vanity
Where hope should wait.
A meadow still in the dead of night
Where every word is hushed,
Where every word is right.
Cheeks are cold, faces flushed,
The worlds so dark yet there is this light.
Hands to hold where hearts are touched,
Life is pure where the heart is bright.
