Gary.
He was green and fuzzy
 the monster under my bed.
He had big blue horns and bright yellow hands.
He had a deep belly laugh
 and a funny face,
 that made my giggle.
 Every day we played
 hop-scotch,
 hide-and-go-seek,
 and tag.
Every night we watched the stars.

 Now his gone,
 the monster under my bed.
He left a long time ago.
I miss him lots, but I know he had to go.
 Mommy told me he won’t come back;
 She lied to me.
For he comes every now and then.
 On my birthday,
 at Christmas time,
 and on Easter,
 sometimes even in the summer.
 We play our old games
 And watch the stars.

I miss that monster under my bed
