The Painful Sunday
It’s a sweet Sunday.
 The sun is out and
Music is playing out in the courtyard.
A feeling of peace rests on the congregation.
When all of a sudden, a sharp stab penetrates my chest
 My eyes widen
My mouth opens and a scream bursts, but no sound comes out
I try to keep my composure, but the blade pierces deep into my chest
 It’s almost unbearable
My hands take hold of the blade
As I try pulling it out of me
 When your face appears
My hands quickly let go of the blade
A smile creeps onto your face
 And I know it’s over
 I’m done for.
