Dawn
The blazing sun rises,
Illuminating the sleeping sky.
Night fades away, giving way to morning.
The deep, rich colors
Scatter across the sky,
Deep pinks and reds,
Burning yellows and oranges.
Like a rising fire,
Letting the world know it’s a new day.
Peeking through curtains,
Waking the world,
Showing signs of new hopes and beginnings.

The author's comments:
I have always been fascinated by the sun, and I feel like it is beautiful and majestic as a sunrise.
