Salt Prison
I cry
I cry so much
my eyes are crusted
with a salty despair
that prevents my eyes
from waking from it's slumber
to see the light which used
to tie me to the world
and i wander
around in the atmosphere
where the ties of joy and glee
no longer burden my sadness
from seeking me out
and imprisoning me
in a chamber
of darkness
and then
and then slowly
faintly
like a single star
falling gently
onto the pits of my prison
the salt dusted lashes
lifted from my eyes
like an angel
lifting a curse
and then I finally
finally find
the sweet caress of light
grazing the eyes
once again
as i am imprisoned
no more
