Student Teacher
you're quiet, you look lost
scared almost
but you try to play it kewl
telling us about thesis statements
your ideas they repeat
until your words are worn
perhaps that hair gel
catches ideas before they
have a chance to reach your brain
you stutter and stare a few times
but get right back on track
once you learn to let your words flow
and ideas bloom
it will come easy
your words will no longer trickle
you'll realize your mistakes
and correct them,
almost as if you're grading yourself
afterall, you want to be a teacher
you'll get there i know it
you have confidence so show it
you put students in their place
one sentence was all it took
you opened the door
to the student-teacher relationship
they saw it too
so dont be afraid of it

smile through everything no matter how bad it gets because it could be worse and if it gets worse well then it can only get better. :)
