Mask of Deception
When you first meet someone,
All you see is what they show you,
The smile and attitude,
You see only what they want you to see,
Most of the time you believe them.
What you see is not always what you get,
All you see is a mask,
They hide what they want to hide,
You may never truly know a person,
Only believing what you can see.
You do not know someone,
Until you look in their eyes,
That is the only time you can see the truth,
Only then can you see the true person,
Not a mask.
