Forever
Time seems to wither away, paving the road
To my glum future, my most vivid nightmare;
One where you will exist merely in my dreams
And your soft touch will no longer vivify my soul
For I can not live in a pool of memories;
Drenching myself with souvenirs of you
Will not quench my deepest desire, that is
To hold you forever, and not just in my heart.
In my arms I would have watched us grow,
Until our lives slowly unravelled
Finally, our souls severed from this world
Yet we were promised eternal happiness,
Where forever, is simply the beginning.
