Talk is cheap
You say you don’t care what they say,
but you always look their way.
I say I do care what they say,
but I forget it by the end of the day.
You say I’m your best friend
But where were you when I needed you the most?
I say you’re my best friend
I was there when you needed a friend or a host.
You say that you won’t forget me,
Did all your memories just fade away?
I said I have bad memory
But you’re still on my mind all day.
You said I was pretty and nice
But when I turn my back, your words turn to ice.
Now I don’t believe in words and phrases,
full of lies on all the other pages.
They say talk is cheap,
So don’t you utter a peep.
