the girl in the mirror
A small tiny round water droplet
Slowly falls out of damp eye-lashes
Onto a small round face
After the small droplet slides off the face
Black streams are covering the tracks of the droplet
A hand tries to wipe away the black
Instead it smudges across the cheek
Long French manicured finger nails reach for a tissue
The finger brings the tissue up to the eye and taps away
What is left of the make-up
A face appears in a mirror
A girl who has looked like she’s been crying for hours in it
Her eyes are red and puffy
She whispers softly to herself
Why did this happen to me?
