Mend a Broken Heart
Tears stream down your face,
One drop after another.
As though they’ll never stop,
But keep going, getting stronger and stronger.
You wait for the pain to stop,
But it’ll never end.
Someone’s just torn out your heart,
It’s not easy to mend.
It leaves traces,
In your eyes.
People can see it,
Every time you smile.
Trying to hide it won’t do any good,
It doesn’t envelop like you thought it would.
It eventually comes out,
Sideways and upside down,
But just know that I’ll be there,
When that time comes around.
