You've fallen low
Low
You know you've fallen low,
When your body, not just your knees, is pressed against the cool marble of a parish.
You know you've fallen low,
When you need the encouragement of the unknown to get you to what you know.
You know you've fallen low,
When you cry out to an empty room,
Only to hear the screams echoing around you.
You know you've fallen low,
When you drink like its water,
And intoxicate your body on a whim.
You know you've fallen,
When you're too afraid of the past, to move forward.
You know you've fallen,
When you feel nothing but emptiness in your core.
You've fallen,
Low.
