Darkness Forevermore
Im in the darkness again,
You're gone, my beautiful one,
This night is neverending,
The light has faded with your smile,
Your face is burning away in the shadows,
All the memories I held in my heart,
They've escaped through the broken passages,
My beautiful one, you left me long ago,
You were carried away on an autumn night,
When the moon was high and full of luminesence,
And when the sky was the color of the cloth they wrapped you in,
When the sillohetted branches reached for you,
I tried to stop them from taking you away,
But they did not know this miserable fact,
My darling, I cannot live without you,
But you are so far away from me,
The earth they laid your sleeping body in,
It is not as deep as my sorrow.
Take my hand, beautiful one,
Lead me away from the night,
Hold me until the dawn comes,
Until the golden sun warms your tender flesh,
And mine shivers at your touch,
The only touch you could offer now,
My beautiful one,
The touch of the dead.
I watched the sun fall for the last time,
As you began to turn to ice,
The coldest wind was your whispers,
Stroking my mind with your pleas,
'Oh my darling, join me',
The light dissapated then,
Never to return again,
As your grey lips touched my skin,
Your memory seduced me into forever darkness,
Condemned me to live a barren life,
And I tried to bring you back, my beautiful one,
But you had found another love,
Death.
In his icy arms you now slumber,
His cold touch you adore,
His black, hollow eyes stare forever into yours,
Their empty ebony blinding you forevermore,
His ghostly white bones wrap around you,
Trapping you in his spell,
Until you're nothing more than a distant memory,
My beautiful one,
Your sun has set eternally,
Your light will never fill me again,
My love, however, shall never burn away,
Time cannot scrape away my emotions,
For our souls are entertwined,
This bond will last until the world turns to dust,
It will lead me once again to your side,
Soon, soon my beautiful one,
We will be reunited under the sunshine,
And as our hands are joined once more,
We will feel alive as the angels of heaven,
We will live together in the celestial sky,
And our love shall never die,
I am coming my beautiful one,
I follow the path you showed me,
In my dream filled subconcious mind,
I find the secret to being with you again,
Deep within the river, so full of mystery,
After a heavy and relentless rain,
You whisper to me and I glimpse the beauty of your face,
Just beneath the surface of the cool ripples,
Your loveliness waits for me,
And you extend one perfect hand,
To grasp at mine and pull me down.
I am coming, my beautiful one,
As the shadow filled water sucks me down,
I feel it all begin to die,
The misery, the pain, the night,
Replaced by the numbness,
The feeling stolen away by death.
