An Airman's Girl
He can take me high
 High, far above the sky
 He makes my heart soar
Soar, like a bird that’s spread its wings to fly

 Although he’s left me behind
 Behind, once again
 He’s my forever
 Forever, everyday all the time

 Although he’s away
 Away, from many months
 I will stay strong
Strong, for the man I love

 I’ve chosen this life
This, life most women can’t take
For to an airman I’ve given my heart
My heart, he swore to keep safe

 He made me a promise
 A promise, which he’ll return
 I’ve shed many tears
Tears, at the expense of his absence
 I cry because I don’t know much
 For much, he cannot tell
 But one thing’s for sure
For sure, I’ll always be an airman’s girl.
