Fall was my favorite
Fall was my favorite. Everything about it made me feel as if I was one. Not in pieces. You and I watched the seasons pass and we waited together for the crisp air to burn our lungs and the dead leaves to fall from the sky. We would dance under them. But now, I dance alone. You took your life before we could have the chance to become once more whole, and now I am emptier than ever. I wish I could be dead like the leaves. And I can't bear the cool air any longer because it burns straight through my lungs and into my soul. I am falling, falling, falling, much like the leaves, but I never touch the ground. And you, you remain in a deep slumber forever. A winter that will never end.
