Catch-Phrase MAG
Words
Trapped in my brain
Fight their way down my spine
Flood my arms
And reach my fingers
Jumbled up
And scrambled
I hear them sigh
And murmur to each other
Grumbling
At a white screen
I try to listen
Try to hear them
And write the recording
Real
On their way out
They yank and break
Letters on tiny feet
Fall over
And are trampled
And so
Fingers push wrong keys
Ears do not hear properly
The images in my retina
Freeze
So when the murmurs die
And fingers stop
I read the page
And see stanzas of
Clichés
