Painful Lies
Funny little things
 these words
 coming from my mouth
 Into his eyes
 He thinks
 he’s done no wrong

 What lies
 What lies I hear
 Echoing through
 the halls
 From his mouth
 Nothing I hope
 I’d never hear

 Speak
 I’ll not speak now
 I want to scream
 out my frustration
 Silence . . .

 The pain
 so great
 hurting my chest
 Into my fingers
 I want to hurt him
 so bad

 And so its opened up
 to me
 Take my anger out
 on him
 Not today
 Not yet

 When it doesn’t
 hurt so bad
 I’ll let him
 know
 Just how much
 pain
 I’ve been through
