But for Me, Your Love Remains
I am broken and have lied,
felt hatred and felt pride.
I have stumbled and have tripped.
From your path I have slipped.
But for me, Your Love Remains.
I have disobeyed and ignored
the word that's from my Lord.
I put myself above others,
forgot to honor Fathers and Mothers.
But for me, Your Love Remains
I am scarred and unworthy,
undeserving of all your glory.
I have put things ahead of you,
faltered and do things I shouldn't do.
But for me, Your Love Remains.
I'm a sinner forever marked,
with some cold in my heart.
Guilty of impure thought,
giving into Satan's haunt.
But for me, Your Love Remains
I have rebelled and done wrong,
remained unworthy for so long.
I've denied your grace and light.
You offer affection and I fight.
But for me, Your Love Remains.
I have struggled and ignored,
Forgotten that I'm adored.
I've failed to keep my conscience strong,
not chose right over wrong.
