A Facade Played by Fools

I knew from your first breath that you knew treason,
yet I pushed through your fake smiles and its jagged teeth,
of crooked desire and deceit,
for I was a young child of willing intent,
yet old enough to understand its evil half,
and the empty abyss it would cast me,
though i told you my name,
strapping on my facade of what you seem fit,
and your name escaped your lips,
but even then i knew the seed of contempt was set
