A hollow smile
That hides true, pure affection.
Esoteric in nature,
A prize that has yet to be won.
Moreso, as if
The gods conspire against union,
And love is borne beneath the vapid shell
Of life incognito.
And so it is,
And so it will be mine:
Ours.
