The Emptiness
“The emptiness will haunt you” – Alesana The Curse of the Virgin Canvas
The feeling of warmth slowly leaves my body as I cry the last remaining tears of my heart
On my knees slowly heaving in pain from the lonely that won the war against myself
The last thoughts of you become nothing but blackened memories of my sanity
Silently I feel my heart break under the emptiness’ pressure
The final tear escape as my eyes fill with blackness
An endless abyss of my nightmarish memories fills the now lifeless sockets
I’m filled with only sorrow, my blood now blackened in my veins
I cough in a fury as I silently scream for you one last time
The last crimson-colored drops of blood falls from my lips on the barren ground
My final memory of you walking away is what I see before the Darkness blinds me
I fall to the ground as my arm reaches out for what is already gone
The emptiness of death I though would be painless, is nothing more then that single most heart retching moment
True emptiness isn’t a void of all life; it’s the single memory that makes you feel empty
