Poison
It was my friend who did this to me,
She broke my heart then stole the key.
She then became the enemy:
And for this reason she could not see.
My fury grew with every word,
Until finally she heard.
What have I ever done to you?
It pained me that she hadn’t knew.
I cannot believe she didn’t know,
It was she who had told me so.
My anger then grew to its full height,
And my enemy then did take a bite.
It seemed as if she swallowed it whole,
For all the anger had left my soul.
But by then she was no more
And our friendship had gone right out the door.
