Drive
We’re tired of searching
Searching for something
That might make life matter
Me by myself
And you on your own
We’ve been running forever
But never running together
Then we realized
We don’t have to
We found something simple
But something real
To put it plainly
I can finally feel
It’s strange
I’ve been empty
You’ve been alone
Maybe its love
Maybe you know
But we can stop running
Because we both belong
To something and
Things make sense
We’re on our way
Let the music play
And for the first time
In weeks I can ride
Through this town
With the windows down
Without feeling gone
You make me feel like more than I am
And maybe that’s because there’s something in you
That makes people like me special
It makes dancing in the sand monumental
It makes speeding through the wind like flying
Makes me want to walk dirt roads with your hand in mine
Watching things that used to be and knowing what will be.
And that baby,
Is something great in itself.
