Vast White Plains
These grassy plains now blanket covered
As November rears his Yule brother
Sickles they form from the once blossoming trees
No flake bears resemblance to their kin
As intricate designs fall from the ethereal to our feet
In a manic depression they learn to fall
One by one after hearing the call
The stark dead ground awaits the arrival
For the vast whiteness must come forth day and night
As they reflect the sun’s rays and illumine just right
The cold winters air that knows no loving warmth
The only embrace takes place inside
As families revel and seem to forget
The frost that pierces our hearts
The snow reveries they begin
As the dawn of a day begins deep within
The satanic hero the ice that forms on water
Crystallized up and ready for all even sons and daughters
Christmas day has finally come
And all forgotten of what consumes the earth
White tidal waves that seek to crush
All under the wretched frozen waves
And the abysmal dawn overshadowed by gifts
The white vastness backs down for no man
