A Lesson In Relativity
I wonder if your wandering eyes
will watch me when I walk away,
 trailing memories in loose gravel
as it crunches under my feet.

 Will you shadow the path
 we wove out of sighs
 and touches and laughs,
 ideas, plans and secrets
 shared looks and hidden smirks
 with some other someone?

We will always sit latched together
if only in the air above our heads
bound by this place, this space
 we inhabited together
if only for the briefest of moments,
 for an eternity.
