You Put on a Facade
Do you remember when we brought the world to a different place?
When there was no line to define earth and space?
When time seemed to slow and motion had stopped;
Leaving everything in our path to be undeniably dropped.
Our worlds had crashed like a tide against sand;
Leaving us ship-wrecked hand-in-hand.
We were left with a feeling of complete invincibility,
Letting us believe everything impossible was a possibility.
But when the sickness wore off and the cure was found,
And the world started to spin round and round;
The nostalgic thoughts that once made this world unbelievable,
Were now false and unconceivable.
Everything was lost and buried by the shore,
Letting realization hit that there was nothing more.
Life had fallen into place and I stared at the sky,
Wondering what other secrets there could lie;
For time had never slowed,
And motion never stopped;
And nothing in our path was meant to be dropped.
Life was still going,
As I was falling in this dream,
And now I know you are nothing as you seem.
