Frightened
The world we created,
the monsters that we have made,
is all because of things we believe,
open the closet just to make sure it's safe,
nothing but dirty socks under the bed,
 hey, what's left?,
The noise coming from the attic is just there to bother you,
no such thing as the bogeyman,
no three-eyed polka-dotted fuzzy monster under the bed,
 no need for double checking,
because the real monsters live among us.
