Ready, Aim, Fire.
Red lanterns litter the field,
Each with its own unique glare
Attacking the darkness, the lanterns battle in an internal war,
Deathly redolence eliminates all hope,
Yearning for the blood that comes with war.
A single lonesome cannon assumes its position,
Immutable in its never-ending power,
Malicious intent radiating from its very being.
Flames erupt from the barrel
Innocuously, the warning shot fades to a distant memory,
Reverence pulses through my body,
Eradicating my deep-rooted fear of war
BOOM!
BOOM!
BOOM!
