My last day offstage
and it is raining
knocking on my window
"Tomorrow, tomorrow, tomorrow. . ."
Taunting? Warning? Merely saying?
Warning, I believe
Warning that I must soak this day in
Let solitude creep into my blood
Before I must return to them
to critics and awkwardness
to being a ghost
among people who know me
