All I Ask For
As the rain pours on
And the wind howls away
The cold piercing me like a thousand needle
I shiver like a lone leaf on a tree
As I walk on the empty street
All I ask is for someone
As the clock announces the late hour
Untouched and getting all cold
The coffee mug stands right there
As I stare into the empty space
Sitting on an empty table in a crowed café
All I ask for is someone
As the train passes above a bridge
Swinging along with it
I stand grasping to the handle
As I engulf the silence
The night starts to fall
All I ask for is someone
Someone to keep me warm through the rain
Someone to hold me tight through the pain
Someone to love me even if I act insane
Someone to care not for my beauty but my brain
All I ask for is someone
Just someone
