Bullied
Backed up against a wall
With nowhere to go
I see six of them in the hall
This was the second day in a row
I look around hurriedly
My body sweats
They come in looking beastly
Their glares are like threats
I wish I could fight back
Or left alone for a while
But right now I shield my lunch sack
And defend my money pile
Then a savior comes in
A teacher, that’s who,
And says with a big grin
“I’ve got you”
Suspensions are dealt
By the dear old principal
It was the happiest I had ever felt
That my troubles were gone
Then I realized that I was late to class
And I rushed out the office door
