Live in the moment
When my time comes, I'll go in peace,
I'll look back on my life and smile,
Take Death by the hands and thank his kindness,
Then turn and walk down the road to darkness,
Holding hope aloft, as one would a lantern,
My life will guide the way to my end.
On this path I'll meet you,
And we'll laugh just like we used to,
Shed a few tears over our mistakes,
And talk and talk for old time's sake.
But this moment has not yet come,
I won't dwell on what might be,
Neither will I dwell on the past,
But rather live in the moment,
Feel your kisses on my forehead and your arms around my waist.
