Battling Inside
Love is blind,
 Stumbling around,
Stepping into air when you’re looking for the ground,
 That’s all that’s there when you’re only a kid,
 But the heart tricks you,
 Into wishing for more
 It’s underdeveloped,
 So much younger than you
The girl and the heart are a disconnected two
Remember when you were only five
The heart was there but not yet alive
The head and the heart collided at six
Believing in cooties was the heart’s first trick
The head overpowered and saw something sweet
At 13 years old, revenge was seeked
Your heart took over and tripled in size,
The trick was meant to mess with your mind
You’re 16 years old and your heart is alive,
But still suffers pain from the fatal collide
