The Room
The floorboards were faded,
Not from many feet,
Just mine,
Pacing back and forth
All the time
The blue walls,
Shone the color of clouds,
Caught in overcast
The rain will never come,
But will linger like a rash,
The windows gleam,
With their bright colors,
Taunting what I have not,
Showing a better world,
Instead here I rot
Caught in my own mind,
Warped is my sense of presence,
And gone is the hope,
Bright colors disguise the truth,
But it’s just a downward slope
It’s to plain,
Just to simple,
Almost haunting,
Its message is quite clear,
This room is daunting
