Memories Keep Alive
Wherever the world takes me,
Whatever life brings to my life;
‘tis life’s moments and begotten
That live on with life.
Though the world lives on together
And loneliness should not hit,
‘tis life’s moments and begotten
That I want to live on with.
Though the world lives on together
And dreams are inanimate to hurt,
‘tis life’s dreams and begotten
That I want to live with.
Though the heart is filled with memories
And pictorial memories can’t hurt,
‘tis the new world that some survive in
And some still crave for the old.
Though the heart never forgets
What the heart wants to retain,
‘tis the place of the loved ones
That the heart keeps in vain.
Yes, the world moves on,
Yet longingly one clings on to the past;
And with memories and dreams forgotten
One learns to live on.
