Looking in the mirror,
Not liking what I see,
Just wishing for a different me,
I can never be as pretty as the girl next to me,
I'm forcing my smile, so nobody can tell I do not like what is on the outside of me,
Yes, I know, I'm nice, I'm kind,
I listen, I do not mind, I care, but that is not getting me far in life,
The reflection in the mirror,
All I see is a scared little girl,
I'm insecure, I get nervous about everything, I'm too quiet,
I really care what everybody is thinking,
Like I say, I'm wishing for a different me.
