When Will I Learn
I have been slapped by the same people over and over again
With the red handprint still on my cheek I turn to get some more
When will I ever learn
That most people will never love you as much as you love them
That friends are just enemies waiting for you to burn
When will I ever learn
To love myself unconditionally
To leave those who harm me
To stop blaming myself for things not within my control
To live life as free as a bird
And get rid of my clipped wings
When will I learn
The difference between happiness and popularity
The difference between a fake friend and a real one
Who to trust
And who to thrust my love to?
I want to be happy believe me
I want to be confident
I want to be cut free
And most of all I want to be beautiful me
But its just so hard with all those haters and all those wannabes
To find myself and the love I need
